The Game
Free-Verse Poem
The score was forty-two to forty-two
It was down to a wire
The coaches trying to inspire
Time was running low
But we shall notch the bow
We ran the ball
We shall not fall
The kicker teed up
three seconds to go
When the ball was snapped
Everyone was trapped
The kicker booted the ball
High and far
Until the ball hit the bar
No one knew if it was good
Until the ref raised his hands
The crowd erupted
And the team said
"We are State Champs!"

I like hamburgers and they are good
My favorite part is the really really fluffy buns
I like burger because they are from cows and are amazing
I don’t like fuzzy burgers because they are very disgusting
I like pickles because they’re really delicious
I don’t like ketchup because they’re gross
I don’t like mustard because it is gross
Lettuce is okay I guess but i’m not really a fan
I like cheese but the best cheese is Colby Jack
I like burger because they are from cows and are amazing
